the CAEsAL Guild
Crafters/Artists & Entertainers Association of Lodan
Stepping in that place was like stepping in another town, a glade apart from the Lodan town now so ravaged by the waste of war. It's possible to get lost amid the ocean of bright colors and noises of the complex of streets, a constant scent of wine and absint (and other snacks) hovering in the air, music and cheerful voices that claim your attention from all sides, where the inabriating feeling of party never fades.
At the top of the central stage, the curtains open. And there stands the figure of the new leader of CAESAL, the association's emblem highlithed in golden onto the vest. Until before the war not many knew the name of Edelweiss Fjäril, a quiet dollmaker working in a reasonable toyshop. But once the absence of the Queen lead Lodan to anarchy and war, it was Edelweiss who gathered all the current members there present and kept them together, able to work with what always done, and amplify the reaches of Lodan's entertainment business at a new level. The long-haired redhead looked at the public and admired the association patches on their clothes, gave them a short bow and smiled while starting the speech for the former and new members united:

'Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen!
You’ve just entered the Moonshine Hall!
Here artists and entertainers gather, and we take in almost everyone. Painters, crafters, musicians, street performers, singers, dancers, comedians, actors, gamers, gamblers, dollymops—*ahem*.
This is a place for pleasures, and our Hall is made of glimmers and laughter, games, music and joy.
Besides all, do not fear, this place will protect you. This place offers shelter, and food, and we take care of our members, and do not allow others to hurt them. No matter if some people might see our work as invaluable, we take said work seriously, and by working seriously we do earn something.
“A pence for your thoughts”, tells the saying. You might even earn coins from your troubles. If you’re good enough.
This place is also a place for information. Oh you see, people tend to talk when they are intoxicated, or in bed, or simply hearing the right words at the right time. And we shall give it to them.
We trade secrets. Stories. Gossips. Everything comes, with the devide price.
And so be welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, and dogs and cats and birds too!
Come, stay and know us, laugh with us, drink of our bright colors.
We are the true lights of Lodan'
--Leader: Edelweiss Fjäril
The curtains close. And behind them, where the outside noises and vicious laughing cannot reach, people silently arrive and a discreet meeting happens. The redhead turns to those members now. While the Moonshine Hall is more than a cover, and grown to have its own shape and functions, there are more to the CAEsAL association than the eyes first meet. The people gathered in here know that, bound by the sworn secrecy and the knowledge the first A in CAESAL can mean one thing more besides Artists:
Assassins.
'Behold, my fellows, behold and be welcome.
I’ll not ask you why you’re here. Money. Revenge. Pride. Justice. Every and each one of you must have your reasons. And I guarantee you, you shall attain it here.
I only ask of you, not to let those reasons become excuses. We’re not undiscrimined murders. We purge them from the streets. We only write off the criminals and dangerous elements that our ‘lovely’ military fails to.
Do not blow your cover. Do not compromise the Association. Do not shed blood without reason. Those are your duty, and only rules to remember.
We’re the ones who bring safety and clean the warred Lodan from the shadows. They don’t know us. But they need us - allow it to stay that way.
Alone or in group. When, or where, or how you do your job, and how do you choose your list is up to you. Each member here present must have a codename and respond by it while on duty, and the same patch of any member of CAESAL. See the name who better fits you, and be welcome to our fellowship of faceless allies.
Unregarding of methods, deep inside you know: we have something in common. Something outsiders must not know. We work doing the same, bringing peace through death.
United by (shed) blood, we are a family.
Then remember, my dear siblings.
Be efficient, be careful, be discreet and dutiful. And you’ll be rewarded.
For us all who walk in darkness and clean Lodan by dirtying our own hands.
We’re the shadows that allow the light to glow brighter.
