Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
(open to B.o.R) it had been a few days since Rava had opened the salty dog , business had been good and she was making money slowly but surely , but she was too far away to her goals . she looked out from the door of the salty dog on this clear early morning as she looked out to the sea , far and wide , she know of what treasures all them boats had which was one reason why she wanted to become a pirate captain with her own boat so she could plunder , something that her current boss would not allow her to do on her own , it was something she still had to figure out as she brushed up the outside of the salty dog. she didnt have much understanding of pirate except that they plunder and pillage and they where good at it.
then something came into rava's mind. Caitlin has not been around alot recently , considering that the sea port was her territory she would have noticed the salty dog opening, yet more it had been some time since the Queen of Pirate and thief, maybe she was out off on an adventure or having some sort of lady like vacation, at lest it had been quiet like that time before. giving her more time to think and plan how she would become a pirate , how to make the salty dog better and all other plans she had.

Caitlin was dressed.... immaculately. And she frowned at it. It being another season for courtship, she'd been tied up with formal dates and appropriate dress for a lady of her stature. It was all laughable in her mind, but very serious in her fathers so she did what she could to keep up appearances. She had been told of Rava's new establishment of course. Just because the queen of Rogues wasn't around didn't mean her eyes and ears too were closed to the happenings about them. Her guildmates would report to her any news of worth and Rava would be proud to know her pub was worthy news for the baroness. As such the woman felt the need to stop by and pay the enterprising bandit a visit.
She stepped through the doors and surveyed the surroundings. The place had a great name so she was already off to a fabulous start. The digs inside didn't look so bad either. This spot on the coast had been neglected for a long time, Cait thought perhaps there was a fire or catastrophe of some sort that collapsed the old building and left it vacant all these years. Rava had done a good job claiming dibs and turning the lot around.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
Rava heard someone coming in "sorry we are not...." looked up there in front of her was Caitlin , shocked speechless, Rava didn't know what to feel as inside a wheel of emotions started to stair, she was happy to see her after so long what she wanted to hug her , angry that she had been gone and didn't hear her cry for help before when the bell rang from the clock tower before it felt to peace to the point of she wanted to shoot her, fear that she was gonna be killed since she opened the pub without her knowing as well as other plans she had and all other things that she felt at this moment in time.
it has been so long , would Caitlin even know it was her? Rava had grown her hair out longer and had grown a bit bigger as well as losing an eye. it felt that Caitlin had not aged or changed one bit while Rava had a lot like time had frozen. only the see breeze could be heard.
Dice had already got up to greet the woman in question as he made his way over to her and tried to jump up at her.

"well someone's grown," Caitlin said, looking down at the puppy. She remembered the day Rava picked the little ball of fur up at the shelter. Must have been a good match, since she kept the little beastie. "I'm not here for buisness Rava, Im just here to visit." She smiled up at the girl.

Rava was just a mess of stutters and expressions after the queen said she was only here to visit which started a chain reaction of words that came out a bit fast and loud but understandable "Where the bloody hell have you been!? i been worried sick to the point of hinting ya with this broom! , never the say that you have not said anything about one of my Bloody EYE missing yet as well as losing all my stuff and my old home. How did you know about this place? , do you about my plans and about the fact i want to become a pirate and all that!? " after a few more words she stopped and put down the brush as she calmed down a bit after her temper tantrum. she when around to behind the bar and pulled out 2 glasses "would you like a drink? i dont have much at the moment but its plentiful" Rava did forgive her for not being around, not everyone can be anywhere at any time, something Rava learned sometime ago.

Caitlin waited for her to get it all out. Clearly there were some residual emotions that needed cleared up. She nodded along sympathetically as the tantrum wore on. Yes she knew about the eye, not that it made any difference to the people who knew her, she'd always covered up that eye anyway. Yes she knew about the fire, how the hell could she not, it was the same clock tower that stood tall in the Central Square, she could see it from her bedroom window in the Barons estate. No- she didn't know about Rava's plans to become a pirate, she had to admit, the girl caught her by surprise there.
"Yes, a drink sounds nice," Caitlin responded at the end of it all. She let the girl go about her business setting up two drinks on the counter, one for them each, before she continued. "I've been keeping tabs on you, ever since the incident where you got yourself arrested by the EIRALs. You are a fiesty bugger, it would be silly for me not to. I saw the tower in flames that night, and Ikuze told me afterwards about the outcome. I would have extended an invitation for you to stay onboard one of our vessels, but from what I heard, you had a knight in shining armour offer your his abode so I figured you were settled." She heard all about Mulven from Ikuze Storm, and she'd asked her 2nd in command to check into the guys background, making sure he was a trust worthy sort. Everything checked out as it should so she left things alone.

there was a brake in the convention as Rava let things sink in a bit , before braking it " ok 1st , don't touch my Mulven or else" this was the main thing that Rava wanted to make clear to the pirate queen , gods knows what would happen if a love triangle happened which could get messy, never the less she took a swig of the drink "2ed am not gonna settle down yet until i am married and even then ill find a way even if i have to make the salty dog a trade station for stolen good and drugs in the basement after i get the money to extend it down." she said as she looked around at the place still needing to be done up a lot "oh and before you ask , i got the deed to this place so yeah , this place is mine." making sure that Caitlin didn't question her being there." and yes i want to become a pirate , so i can get the money to stock this place" making that as clear as possible to her, she really didn't want this to be ruined too.

Caitlin rolled her eyes. "Dont worry about that, trust me, I've sworn off mechanics" Ever since she dated the head of Mingo's guild, back when it was Will, she'd learned she was no match for the mechanically inclined.
"I can't help you with your love life, or even with this business since a baroness with a day job would be utterly taboo, but I can help you with the third bit... the becoming a pirate part."
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Rava went silent for a bit as Caitlin said she could help with the becoming Pirate part, a part that made Rava think , up to now She had been playing with the idea of doing it on her own , trying to prove to everyone that she had skills but the past yeah really proved her downfall from grace and if not from the help of Caitlin and BoR she would already be 20 feet under the ground or executed, her pride was already gone as bandit and a former Queen of bandits, there was no way getting that stuff back ever, as she lend onto the bar she said with the words that could possibly change her life forever.
" am listening , whats is the path to become a pirate?"
Post by Caitlin Cockfoster on Jan 7, 2015 0:31:26 GMT
Caitlin leaned on the bar too, facing the bandit. "The path to pirating is found on the swells of the sea or the currents of air. You can take lessons on either or, but its a hard earned education in sailing either way. You decide which it will be, and I'll see to it you learn the proper arts."

" swells of the seas or the currents of air?, your talking between sky and sea?" Rava asked, knowing her little experience in the sky ships as she was used to travailing by sea in her past life so there was that she was used to sea, so instead she to test her luck " well what would you recommend? maybe we should flip a coin? since both sound nice but im guessing one would make me able to board sky ships from great highs and the other is well sea bearing ... so what do you say?"

The idea of Rava burning down one of her airships and everyone dying a tragic death (well everyone except the winged anders) made her cringe. If anything went wayward in a sea vessel, at least they could abandon ship and swim, or use one of the lifeboats at sea. No falling thousands of feet to their demise.
"Perhaps we should get you started on the ocean." Caitlin advised.

Rava nodded "true. since i already broke my legs once over from a fall , and heavens knows what would happen if i took control of an air ship , much less the idea that you need a flying license to fly one or the know how." she said as she raised her arms as she shrugged "at least at sea i know my way around a ship" she said with confidence.

"whoa whoa whoa now, I didn't say anything about controlling a ship, I dont just plan on making you a captain. I plan on putting you on a rig and having the captain who's already there teach you how to be a pirate. Big difference sister, you gotta start small and work your way up. Otherwise, you might just fall off a sea ship too, just as easy as an air one and it might not kill you - might - but it would still be dangerous and just plain suck." Caitlin took out a piece of paper and began writing down some information. She put on the page the name of a sea captain and the name of a ship where to find the woman. then she passed the page to Rava. "You'll be under the instruction of Captain Giselle, and I suggest that you be polite, but not a push over. Do what she says but dont kiss her arse or she'll take advantage of you. She only respects people who respect themselves, and she only puts up with people who do their work."

"I expected as much , as lest am no kiss arse and , i mean in my passed life , sailing was something we did , i know how to do the sailing stuff and the boat stuff, knots and what , just the pirate stuff i just need to know." she said as she finished her drink "as long as i have time to keep my salty dog and Dice ill be find" playing with the glass in in her hand " i mean i gotta make the money here to do business and if am planning to make this places also a home for my hubby to be" she joked.
Dice in the meanwhile had sat new to Catiline and was looking up at here , knowing her smell as someone who was there when he went hope with Rava. he wagged his tail as he yapped up to her , pressing his head angst her, asking her to stroke him .
