Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Open to Lone. And Stephen if he so chooses to involve himself.
“That cat-lover can’t be a noble,” Max mumbled to herself as she approached the grand house Stephen had just entered a moment before. She had thought everyone was joking about his heritage, but today some talk came up and they spoke about it as if it was true. Aiming to find out for herself (and because Stephen was slightly drunk; meaning he would be less likely to notice her following) she had followed him to his house, unnoticed as far as she could tell. It was evening now, the sun was just starting to set, so there was enough business on the street for her to blend into.
However, now that she was at the house, she wasn’t sure what to do. Turn around and simply leave? That wouldn't do. Curiosity getting the better of her, she walked around the block and approached the house from the rear, walking up to it slowly. She was trying to find a window to peak into, stepping forward slowly, when she suddenly tripped on something. She landed with a thud, and some kind of voice responded from within the house. Panicking, Max looked around for someplace to hide, only seeing a crawlspace to her side.

Lone slept soundly in her little crawlspace, her head resting on her arm as her eyes were closed tightly, and her hair made a decent blanket. Cherry, Kitty, and the unnamed doll all leaned against the wall, keeping watch over her tiny home, which was lined with trinket of all sorts that she had collected. The floor trembled as a heavy 'thump' boomed its way inside, and the girl shot into a sitting position in that same split second, and her shoulders arched as she slowly craned her head to see what this strange noise could be, and was, of course, very frightened. It could be a monster, or it could be that boy with the strange eye...
Normally Max would be surprised to see a head poke out of the crawl space, but as the voice grew louder, her need to hide covered the surprise. Turning to the new face, her own showing urgency, Max said quickly but quietly, “Can I hide in there for a moment?” Her eyes darted to the window for a moment, knowing that someone was bound to look outside soon.

Lone cocked her head to the side curiously. She was not scared of this person, but they seemed to be and apparently needed a place to hide, so she crawled slowly backwards to let them in. Something about them made her feel comfortable.
Taking the retraction of her head as an invitation, Max quickly scrambled over to the hole and crawled inside. It was a bit dark, but she could still make out the little toys the girl had here and there. Calming down from that initial fright, Max looked closely at the girl now, seeing her long hair and soft expression. “I’m Max,” she introduced herself, keeping her voice low. She wanted to ask why this girl was hiding (and possibly living) under Stephen’s house, but decided that was something to ask later.

"Mm-" Lone mumbled a little as she continued to stare at the person in front of her. For a few moments, the whole place seemed still, and a feeling of awkwardness arose. Lone suddenly jumped up a little, and wend over to the corner where she lifted back a ratty piece of cloth, and brought out from underneath it a half-eaten loaf of bread. She trotted back over and offered it to her visitor.
Raising her eyebrows at the offered food, Max broke off a small piece of it and took a bite. It wasn’t fresh, but food was food, something she knew all too well. And she chewed on it, she looked up, seeing through the small cracks in the floorboards. With eh scarce light, she was able to make out the girl’s very long, snow white hair. Her eyes gleamed yellow, but not in the glowing way characteristic of felines. Seeing something dark behind the girl, Max could just slightly make out the shape of wings. Finishing the piece of bread, Max spoke up again. “So what do you call yourself?” she asked, hearing some footsteps above them.

“Don’t want to say, huh?” Max replied calmly, relaxing a little and continuing to look upward. “That’s alright, I just don’t know what to call you then.” Turning to the little dolls now, Max pointed at them and asked, “Did you make these?”

"m... Lone" She said, and nodded when Max asked her if she made the dolls. She picked up Kitty and stood her up in front of Max, holding her up with her tiny fingers.
“Lone? That’s a nice name,” Max replied, glad to have something to call the girl now. She reached out to take the doll offered to her, but froze when footsteps passed overhead. Soon after, lights were being put out and the crawlspace got darker. A second later Max’s stomach rumbled, wanting more food. She retracted her hand and clenched her stomach, forcing the sounds to stop. She couldn’t help that she was hungry, but she didn’t want to ask Lone for any more of her little food.

Lone backed away as she heard the new person growling. Why were they growling at her? What did she- oh. It was just their stomach telling them they were hungry. She slowly took the doll from Max's hands and set it aside, then grabbed her wrist and started attempting to tug her out. She was going to help their stomach stop growling.
“What are you—?” Max asked, cutting off her question when she realized what was going on. Lone was probably trying to help her stomach be quite. Shrugging, she followed along, already being able to tell it’d be hard to change her mind. She took one more glance at the dolls, wondering why they were important to her, before following Lone forward.

Lone led Max out of the crawlspace and from there outside, then snuck her way out of the gate and into the rest of the city. The wind blew past them, gently moving her long hair like silk, and she turned back to Max with her same blank expression and stopped, her bare feet, caked with dirt and blood, comfortable in the grass below.
Having followed Lone without a question, Max was rather confused at her sudden stop. They hadn’t gone far, and now they stood in the grass to the side of the main street, and Max couldn’t help but wonder what was planned. She looked at Lone with a confused expression, and then slowly asked, “What are we doing?”
