Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Leslie smiled at Caitlin as she spoke and chuckled quietly for William's benefit. She must be dumber than he thought if she had any impression he had a say in the matter. "I, unfortunately, do not. See, I told you at the beginning of this circus night that if I don't make nice and put my best foot forward, I'm going to be a sack of meat in the road. And as much as I dislike this little fiasco, I like living more."
Rook reached over and patted Caitlin's hands with his own before pointing back to the stage. "See, dearest Father is desperate to try and recover. William's gone a long way to helping that, but there are always going to be rumors about where I am and what I'm doing unless he has me clamped down somewhere. And, being the man he is, an offer from the Baron is too good to pass up. Morgan and Cockfoster holdings merge, Leslie is tied down to a..." He paused and looked Caitlin up and down once before speaking with a voice dripping in sarcasm. "Respectable woman. And given the public nature of this whole scheme, I'll be forced to stay and be the good little boy he wants. So in short, no, I don't get a choice unless that choice is death."

Oh right... he had mentioned that, not that she'd taken it to heart the first time. "I didn't think you were being literal," she explained. It's not that she'd forgotten already so much as she didn't take it seriously. So much for that. She frowned, and turned her attention toward the stage for the time being. She seemed placated but inwardly she was anything but. Ideas spun around her brain, half formed and most of them ludicrous. None of which - so far - seemed like a viable option. She'd just have to keep brainstorming.
"What if..." she started to say, leaning in again.. but stopped herself. Her eyes drifted over her shoulder to peer at the other two Morgans... and she changed her mind, leaning back into her seat and returning her attention to the stage.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
