Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Danny cocked her head thoughtfully. "I should get a decent costume then..." She dusted her hands and settled back into the chair comfortably. "With that out of the way, how's noble life treating you? They made a pincushion of you yet?" Danny grinned at Ikuze and tried to keep the conversation rolling, if only to distract herself for the time being. "I can't imagine it's all that hard, really. Get primped, powdered, and proper, then you're good to go, right?"
Ikuze chuckled sardonically. "Oh it is simply divine... divine punishment." said the thief with a grumble. "Now, I like a good dress as much as the next lass... but not all the damned time. I'm not even allowed to wear normal clothes in this place in case Stephen's papa or worse, Caitlin's father, or some other noble bugger comes to pay a visit for some reason or another." she said before rubbing her stomach. "And the corsets... by the Gods... I can only just about breathe in this drat thing, never mind bending over." groaned Ikuze.
"And oh gods does it get better after that... every single meal... there are half a dozen different forks, knives and spoons to figure out... Just for one sodding meal! And if you use the wrong one, that's apparently a bad thing up here, and they never let you hear the end of it." bemoaned the blue haired girl. "They are all so... bloody petty up here. It is just... I've only been at this noble thing for a short time now... I have no bloody clue how Caitlin puts up with it the entire time..." she groaned.

"Yeesh... that sounds stifling. I can see why your boss does what she does." Danny settled more comfortably in her seat and rested her hands on her stomach. The girl was slouched into the cushion so terribly she almost looked like she was laying down. "But hey, at least you'll have a good teacher, right? Stephen's a stickler for that kind of stuff, so he'll bring you up to speed in no time. And if you're ever feeling charitable and feel like surprising him... he's fond of a souffle a woman named Mrs. Wilons makes. The restaurant she runs is named after herself, Wilons." Danny's eyes remained fixed on the blue haired girl.
"What would surprise him is seeing you at the altar instead of me." said Ikuze with a sigh, not entirely surrendering the notion of trying to get these two together. "I know, I know... sorry." she sighed, rubbing her forehead. "A souffle's that cake looking thing right? Could try to get her to do the catering then..." suggested the thief before she rubbed at her side. "Bloody torture device..." she grumbled before she looked back at Danny. "You sure about this? I mean... you don't have to come if you don't want to... it wouldn't be fair to you being forced to be there..." asked Ikuze of the blonde, regretting having put her in this position in the first place.
The blue haired girl sighed as she slumped in her chair. "Alright... think we've exhausted that chat enough... let's talk about something better eh? How's that Shadow Beast thing of yours going?" asked the thief, trying to make the conversation less awkward.

"It's not my call to make." The girl shrugged her shoulders. "Besides, you've already said that I -will- be there, and I'd rather not make any nobles angry. It's hard enough dealing with them when they don't care." Her sapphire eyes remained focused on the girl and unblinking.
"It's going about as well as can be expected. Folks don't really want to know anything about the things in the woods, and those that do don't pay nearly well enough." Danny lapsed into silence once more. The biggest thought she had now was that she was glad she didn't show up at the Leland's place. That would have been making a fool of herself.
Ikuze cringed under Danielle's unblinking gaze. "Oh for... scream! Yell! Hit me or something! Just... just quit with the whole not blinking thing!" exclaimed the thief as she held her head in her hands for a moment. "What do you want me to do? I thought it would be better if you heard it from me than going to theirs and finding out there..." explained Ikuze before she groaned once more, bashing the back of her head against the chairs head-rest. "Why do these upper bastards have to be so bloody complicated?!" yelled the blue haired girl, sighing afterwards. "...Could say you're my older sister or something? I'm starting to run out of ideas here..." Ikuze said exasperatedly.

Danny blinked. "I want you to just do what you do. You be you, do you. I'll be me, do me. I appreciate the thought though. That'd be embarrassing, showing up to the Leland estate for a surprise." Danny adjusted hos she was sitting. "You've done more than enough, and nobody has any right to ask for more. Stephen himself should have been the one to tell me." Danny smiled at the blue haired nobless. "ust don't worry about it. I'll be fine, and you've got more important things to concern yourself with. Like kids. Charlie's gonna want grandkids you know."
At the mention of kids, Ikuze's face went pale white. "Oh Gods..." she swore, her eyes widening. "Oh dear gods... Danny... this is bad..." she said before quickly beginning to pace the room. "I'm half human, one quarter Winged Anders, and a quarter black blood, but its my black blood that's dominant... I can only guess that Stephen's half Feline cus of the whole eyeball thing of his..." said the thief as she paced, growing more frantic with each and every step, her heels clacking against the floor.
"So... our kids would be... at least half human, with bits of all three Anders in them... if the human blood wins out... but what if one of the three wins out..." Ikuze asked of nobody in particular, biting her lower lip, clutching her skirt where her parts were.
"Are Winged Anders born with their wings... I can't remember... and oh gods... the blood... Danny... we bleed when we give birth... I'm Black Blood... This whole thing will be blown open... the EIRAL's... Oh Gods..." said Ikuze, starting to hyperventilate at the terrors the future held.

Danny adjusted her seat once more. "Winged Ander children do have useless wings, if the streets are anything to judge by." She quirked her eyebrow. "You're that scared of this, are you? You remember Stephen's half Ander, which means so is his father. As soon as Charlie hears about the black blood, he'll have a way around you being given away by childbirth. Hell, look at his own son if you doubt that. The man's something else when it comes to protecting his family... And you'll be part of his family, you know. So you won't have to worry about EIRAL or the other nobles or any of that at all. Just relax, and live." Well, that was something. Ikuze's breakdown was something Danny could focus on. Could distract herself with. This way she didn't have to think about anything else... she could just shut it all out and focus on the problem in front of her.
Ikuze blinked at Danny for a moment. "...Just because Stephen is half, doesn't mean his father is... for all we know, Charles could be full human, and it was Stephen's mother that was full Feline..." she said, sighing for a moment. "I don't even know if I can be a mother... didn't exactly have the best role model... and everyone else I know's mother's well... dead." the thief said bluntly, still pacing the floor.
"What if I screw up? Assuming I survive... I've seen women die giving birth... it ain't pretty... and if turns out that Charles is the Anders hating type... well... easy enough excuse..." said the blue haired bride to be, biting her lip till it bled black. The thief put a wavering hand over her belly, looking down at herself. "...I don't even know if I can give birth... I've never... ye know..." said Ikuze somewhat evasively

"You completely missed the point, didn't you? I misspoke when I called Charlie a cat. But that doesn't changed the fact that he doinked a puss-in-boots. And he -knows- his son is a half cat, and looks out for him anyways. Far as actually being a mother? Nobody knows how to be a mother. Its why there are so many different ways to raise children. Folks try what they think will work and pray for the best. My momma told me that when I was little..." No sense drudging up those memories now...
Danny cleared her throat and looked back at the frantic fiancee. "You've never been with a man?" Danny sat up and leaned forward in her seat. "Well... I don't have much advice for that. It'll probably be scary the first couple of times... probably awkward too, if I know anything about the two of you. You'll just have to talk with Stephen and figure out what works for the two of you..."
The girl sighed as she flumped into her seat, leaning over as best she could in this damned corset, her head in her hands. "That's just it... I was born and grew up in a brothel..." said Ikuze. "I know half a dozen different positions... couple dozen techniques... and well, you get the idea... And its just... so... clinical..." sighed the thief as she shook her head. The girl chuckles mirthlessly. "Whats worse... is that somewhere in my head... I just fear that its not going to work... Part of me... I just don't know... What do you think I should do Danny?" she asked the blonde, looking at the girl with concern and dread in her eyes.

"You ever have someone hop into the sheets with you? 'cause I'm pretty sure there's a difference between just watching and actually doing it. That's the same with everything though... you can watch all you'd like, but it's different when you try what you've been watching. Besides, remember who the other half is. Stephen. Can you imagine that boy being clinical about the whole thing? He'll probably be beat red at the time and stammering nonsense..." She sighed and stood up before walking over and kneeling in front of the blue haired noble. "Look, Kuze, I'm not saying this thing'll be easy, but it's happening. It'll work... trust me. Would I lie to you? Know what... don't answer that." Danny cracked a smile as she finished her sentence before pulling the blue haired girl into a hug and running her fingers through the girls hair. "Everything'll be fine. Just don't ever lose sight of who you are, the you that you want to be, and everything'll be fine. I'll guarantee it." With her head over the girl's shoulder and out of sight, Danny bit her lower lip to keep from losing her composure. Ikuze was scared and worried enough as is... don't need to add anything else to that pot.
Ikuze hugged Danielle back, biting her lower lip at the girls words. "I don't know who that is though... before all this, I was happy with just getting a decent gig, and having a roof over my head... That and getting something in my belly every now and then..." said the thief before she sighed. "I just... I feel like I'm three people... There's Ikuze the thief, Ikuze the performer, and... Rikuzeyah the noble..." she said confusedly. "How do you do it Danny? How does Caitlin do this?" she asked of the blonde holding her.

"But that girl before, the one who was happy to just get a roof, a job, and some food... is that who you want to be? Or do you want to be someone more?" Danny spoke as she moved to sit next to Ikuze. "You aren't three people. Those three people you feel like? The thief, entertainer, and noble? They're all just a different part of you." Danny lapsed into silence for a moment before she continued. "Kuze, did you know people are like gems? When they're born, they don't have any real shape, any personality. But as time goes on, they get molded. They get shaped, and cut... and they start to look all the more wondrous for it. But it sometimes reveals things they didn't expect... Like how you feel like three different people. Those are all just different facets to the gem that's you. They're just a different face, and each is just as important as the other. You see, Kuze, you're still in the rough. You're being shaped by the world, and I can tell you from where I'm sitting, it's dazzling. Who you are at the core is made up of all of your facets... all of your faces. And believe me, Kuze, your diamond couldn't be more beautiful."
