Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
The letter had been left on the Barons front steps and reported immediately to authorities. The matter was to remain private and under investigation but someone on the household staff couldn't keep the secret. Soon the whispers in every corner of Lodan spoke of the mysterious new threat, rumors growing out of speculation and curiosity to what would happen next - especially since the barons daughter returned home after being stabbed and left for dead in the hovel. Most assumed her survival had been a fluke, and feared that to make up for her failed murder, the author of the letter would strike again. Citz: this thread will remain locked until the event opening day, posted after the last of the clues are revealed
offisor Scye The morning news was rife with speculations and gigantic bold print headlines screaming "DEAD DOLLYMOP ON BARRACKS FRONT LAWN" and "KILLER STRIKES ANEW?" The Commander would have his hands full this morning, as it would seem the Major is not available for a press conference. The media is eager to know the particulars of this woman's demise. Who was she? How had she ended up inside the fence, and how long had she been dead on military property before anyone realized? Some reporters were already writing up their conspiracy theories that the killer was hiding in the ranks of the army itself, since the dead girl was clearly a winged Andersweltler, and on military property. Other's reserved judgement till they could hear the particulars of the investigation or as much as the EIRALs would divest to the public.
The next victim's bloodied red apron was found at the entrance to a tenement in Goulstone Street, merchants district. Some writing on the wall above the apron piece (which would become known as the Goulstone Street graffito) seemed to implicate an Andersweltler, since the apron was traced back to the retired master mechanic Tourin "termite" Might, a human. EIRAL suspect the graffito might spark anti-Andersweltler riots, since the graffiti written (in black blood) read: "for evry day a human is not drivan out of this sity
anoher Ander will be bled to evn the ods" The Queen, made aware of the rising series of events, ordered it washed away before dawn. Master mechanic Tourin "termite" Might was found dead in his home, the artery in his neck severed and left bleeding into a bowl next to his bed. There are signs of struggle and it would seem the apron was used to staunch the blood but then was dragged (along with another person) out of the house. The black blood used for the graffiti on Goulstone street belongs to another Andersweltler female, yet unidentified but found mutilated in the alley a block away.
The investigation is now divided between those who believe the killer is fixated on killing Andersweltler women, and those who think this message is his true agenda against human sovereignty. His first attempted murder on miss Cockfoster complicates their deductions.
