Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

She bit her lip to keep from smiling any bigger and merely shook her head no. "Guess we don't have a deal, pity," she feigned a sigh and spun in an arch, splashing water as far onto the bank as she could to try and get Levi wet. He really did hate water it seemed. The offer for his nails on her skin was a tempting one though. She mulled it over before coming out of the water (somewhat reluctantly) and laying on the ground next to him. She knocked her boots over and said "how gallant of you to provide me with so much coverage." He was a cheeky bloke.
"Now about those nails..." she practically purred. Cait pulled her hair over her shoulder to get it in front of her breast and off her back. She twisted the bared skin toward him and waited for him to work wonders with those claws of his on her scarred flesh.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
Levi tilts his head down and places his hand up to deflect some water that were flying at him, breaking onto his skin as the made contact.. He sneered behind the shadows of his hand before tilting his head back up to see Caitlin walking over. His face slowly works a smile onto it. He's practically got her under his finger, the baroness, who would've guessed? He watches as she places herself down on the ground, watching her for a moment after her begging tone about the pleasure she wants. He shakes his head softly, reaching a hand out towards her side, running his fingers down the length of her ribs before tracing back up to hop onto her shoulder, flaying the skin ever so gently as the nails slide down her arm. "You know, you're already there, and no bodies out here. It's not like we can't keep it to the shadows." He pokes as his hand glides around the side of the blonde's body closest to him before adding. "What they don't know won't hurt them." He pulls at her fingers, lifting them up into the palm of his hand, dragging his tongue along the length of one of her fingers.

She gets goosebumps all over her skin from the sensation of his nails tracing her form. It didn't last nearly long enough before his hand snaked around her side, making her jump a little, (thinking he was going for a handful) but instead he fishes for her hand and catches it to tug her fingers to his lips. His breath on her skin, his words in her ear and the chill of their meaning made her pulse pick up. She closed her eyes and leaned back against him as his tongue glided along one of her fingers. "I told you I hate you, right?" She asked absently as the feeling caused her to shiver again. The only thing holding her back from saying yes was not saying anything at all. She wanted to. He had spent months teasing her, and it was painful how badly she wanted to. Resisting only worked when she remembered that he hadn't resisted anything - he'd been out doing what he wanted with whomever while he waited for Caitlin's desires to collapse her resolve.
"I'd entertain the idea of running off and eloping with you, just so I can have this without the guilt, but then again, you'd probably still be gone by morning, rings and vows not withstanding." She realized after she said it how serious, and dark the words were. To lighten the mood she added with a shrug, "Then again, we'd spend more time searching our cargo holds for rings that fit than we would actually committing the act... So s'pose theres nothing for it."

Levi shrugs, half-sprawls out. He props his head up with his hand, elbow in sand as he comes closer to Caitlin's level. His wrist rests on the top of his arc'd knee, his fingers tapping a random melody just to do it. He smiles at her as she speaks, quickly retorting with a "I like to sleep in after a long night." and a wink to go with it before she continues her statements. He brings the free hand down to scratch the bottom of his neck where his necklace hung, his fingers bouncing off of the metal giving him an idea as if a spark was made. "If you're so worried about me showing other men you're mine, I'll get you a cat collar. Wouldn't that be so cute? We'll even get a little bell for it." Levi's lips have split into a full blown smile, laughing in small trifles. He taps the back of his teeth with his tongue, pausing his voice in thought. He extends his hand to caress Caitlin's jaw, "You're THAT worried about a rogue jumping deck after one night? Hmph, I found your bed sheets in the cabin comfortable enough, I'm sure you're estate will make me stay." He teases playfully, letting go of her face to drag his light nails down her throat, and out over her collar bone to her hair, which he promptly runs his fingers through.

"Hah, Im not so worried about anyone knowing I'm yours so much as letting your companions know you are mine," She shot back without thinking but it was too late to take it back now. He followed that outburst with another question and she bit her lip, taking her time to think her answer through before spitting it right out. He held her face and examined her before letting go and trailing his hand along her jaw. His nails traced lower down her throat and over her collar bone till he combed them through her hair. The playing with her hair made her hypersensitive and she could feel the nerves tingle at the root. Caity loved this, what he did to her, but it wasn't what she was after.
"I want more from you than just - that - If I give you all, I want all in return Levi," She paused a moment to moan her appreciation for the micro sensations he sent dancing through her. "I know you are more than a lover, I didn't bring you into the fold to love me" not that she didn't want his love but she abstained from saying so, "I brought you on board because you are talented, ambitious, and the poster child for Rogues if ever there was one. I need those parts of you too. I need to count on you 100% to be there in every way, for me, beside me, no finicky business about it.... and there's the rub," she summed up lamely, not sure where she was going with all this. Today was a day she probably should have sewn her mouth shut. what was with all the confessing?

Levi licks his lips to Caitlin's sounds on enjoyment. He watches her with keen eyes, simply playing with her hair, continuing it on for awhile into a moment of silence. He clears his throat and opens his mouth, proceeding to do the best Caitlin impression he can muster up. "Oh, Leeeeeevviiiii. It's not that I am NOT in love with you, but.." He turns his head away dramatically before slowly turning his head back towards Kitten. "but I couldn't stand the thought of other girls loving you! Ooohohohohoh." He squeals in sarcastic distress. He lets a breath escape his lips, heavily trailing in the air before speaking more seriously. "You give me something to stay for, and I won't run around. Whatever you may have in mind..." He whispers, before adding "...even if I have to wear a suit."

Caitlin's jaw dropped at his imitation of her and she shoved against him. Her cheeks flamed red and for a minute neither of them said anything. Then Levi got serious and for the second time asked her to give him a reason to stay, and he would... she was taken aback by his seriousness, but not nearly as much as she was after he added the part about even if it involved wearing a suit. So many emotions fought for dominance that she was short of breath. Caitlin lifted her hand unconsciously and placed it over her heart, the fluttering in her chest nearly painful.
"You would do that?" She asked him in a half whisper. Her mind was blank, assaulted by too many feelings to untangle them all, so instead of untying her own she asked him for answers. "Why?"

Levi's eyes wonder down the pretty girl's frame, traveling the curves and views as his eyes take in her form, his mouth holding onto a "Well..." as he does so, before looking back at Caitlin's face, smiling softly as he looks over key points before resting his eyes on hers, the tint on her face looking quite cute. "You're something many men desire, Kitten, and I ain't excluded, so I'ma do what I gotta do to make you mine." He says, taking a hand to hers and pushes his fingers through Caitlin's, grinning as their palms collide. "And in return, you get me, and the pride that goes with saying you tamed the beast." He barely sticks the tip of his tongue out of his mouth, teasing her.

Holy Saints, he was serious. He looked serious, or Levi serious, as serious as that was. Caitlin stared at their joined hands. If he was serious did that mean they had a chance? They could actually run off, elope, do any number of scandalous things that would leave her family about as reputable as the Morgan's were. The choice was hers ultimately. He was giving her the option. Take it, her heart screamed, but her head forced it to slow down. There was her family and her life long term, outside of this moment and outside of this bubble she hid in with Levi by the river.
She quirked a smile at his taming the beast remark, but didn't say anything. She couldn't, not yet. Instead she pushed his hand aside and climbed into his lap. With both hands she cradled his face and turned it up to look at her. "What other men want doesn't concern me," She murmured. Her eyes searched his, waiting with the remnants of her typical Levi-centric trepidation, for that scathing remark of his that would ruin the moment. When it didn't seem as though he'd say one, she snugged in closer and kissed him gently, with the tenderness of her vulnerable heart. If he broke it though, she'd kill him. She wasn't all princess inside and as one of her pirates, she figured he knew better than to need the warning.

Levi places his hands on Caitlin's hips once she crawls onto his lap, smiling as her hands find their way to his face. He embraces the kiss from her, giving into it for a moment as his fingers play with the frills on her knickers. He smiles and as their lips part, he places his forehead on hers. "All this lovey-dovey stuff is making me sick. Bleh..." His eyes stare back into hers, catboy wondering what she was thinking as he did so. Perhaps he finally got through? Or maybe she let him through, or then again...maybe not. "You seem to really, really, REALLY enjoy it when we come down here." He whispers between them as he listens to the water rush by, and the sounds around them.

hah, that was the best he could do? She smiled in a way he'd never seen before, the chip on her should gone, her unabashed happiness showing through. "I was expecting much worse than "bleh" but we can go back to poking fun at each other if that makes you more comfortable," she teased. She nipped at the bottom of his lip then returned to the pose he'd put them in, foreheads touching, eyes roaming each others faces for missing details they might not already have. She nodded and ran her hands up his arms till they rested on his shoulders. "I told you, this is a place reserved for us, at least in my mind." Together they listened to the quiet nature and she loved every moment of it. It was like a sanctuary, an outdoors, barrier-less sanctuary.
At some point the angle of the sun registered in her brain and she closed her eyes, sighing. "I can't stay here much longer. Have barony duties to attend to tonight. And they involve wearing clothes, nice clothes, the kind that take time to put on." She looked down at them, in their current state of undress and was loathed to leave it. Kicking her hesitation in the bud, she got off his lap and rang out what water was left in her hair. Caity twisted it up as best she could and stuck a twig through it like a heavy duty bobby pin before turning to her pile of clothes and beginning the process of leaving. It was practically a ritual at this point. They come, they strip, they kiss for a while, maybe fight off and on, then they redress and leave.

Levi's lip tugs away from her as she bites gently onto it as he smiles and her hands come up to his shoulders. "So that's the way you view this place? All this time I thought it was because you found it easier to see me barren without anyone to find about your girlish desires." He draws his hands from her hips and uses one to run through her hair, giving her a cheeky look as he does so. "You never really bothered to cover yourself up. Getting used to me now?" He asks playfully.
As she stands up and explains the time and situation, Levi reaches over to pull on his shirt and to flop his hat out before placing it on his head, not at all caring about how it's sitting on up there. Levi stands with his coat in hands, throwing it on and settling it with a tug at the buttons. He steps behind Caitlin as she's bent over, placing his hips to her thighs, and leaning onto her back, placing his chin on her shoulder as he whispers. "How about you come to the ship after your...'business that involves clothes' and we'll get to business that doesn't involve clothes."

Caitlin tried not to let the jerk that went through her body show, continuing to gather her stuff as he wrapped himself around her in that suggestively intimate way. His words were no better. The blush must have been all the way up to her hairline but she didn't react like she normally would have. Instead she got her things stood up straight and turned to face him. Caitlin wordlessly handed him her clothing, reached her arms high and stretching her body out inches from his, exaggerating her feminine curves before giving an exaggerated sigh and grabbing her things back from him. "Thank you kindly," she taunted before wrapping the corset around herself and tugging the strings tight behind her back. She looked back up at his face and quirked an eyebrow. "Hope you enjoyed the show, gonna have to hold on to that for a while, since I'm not coming back to the ship tonight. Think of me though," she reached into her garter belt and removed a hidden key, handing it to him. "as you sleep in my cabin. Should smell just like yours truly if thats any consolation." Better him in her bed than in someone elses. IF they were going to be each others, that stuff had to stop.

Levi unwraps himself off of Caitlin as she finishes picking up her stuff, turning to look at him with a face tinted red. He smiles like he just won a battle between them, but he extends his arms to catch the stuff she drops in his hands. Levi narrows his eyebrows at her before she decides to stretch her body out, showing off all the goods in the process, and Levi's smirk turns into a small formation of "o". They're so much better to see when not pressed up against him. As she took her stuff back in trade for handing him a key he regained his expression, looking over the key, turning it once or twice before flicking it in the air only to catch it. "What a shame. These hands give a killer massage." He lets out a small "heh" after he thought about it, he figured that could be taken in many ways, not just one. He pockets the small piece of metal, and looks at Caitlin, with a grin on his face. That stupid grin he always wears, because he knows.

Caitlin gave him a look like 'and do I know it!' but left things at that. If she didn't stick to her guns now and leave, she might be late to her fathers arrangement for the night. Some wonder what they were supposed to be up to, all she knew was to expect company and dress the part. "Up we go?" She motioned with her hand, then jumped up and again on her platforms of light till she reached the terrace. There she waited for the feline to use his own natural skills to climb and join her. It was going to be a long walk back, but she could use that time to think over everything that had just happened today.
