Open to Zona (and Clancy, if he wants!)
It was about time Iacomus changed out the paper sign that had been hanging above his shop since had moved in. Well, it wasn't the same exact paper sign, of course. The signs obviously did not survive when it rained, and Iacomus would find them, waterlogged clumps of yellowish goo, laying in front of his doorstep. When it was windy, they would tear and blow away, and sometimes they would simply disappear, but the organ seller would chalk their evanescence up to the elements, as they were the reasons why the other ones didn't stay up either.
He was putting the finishing touches on the sign he was crafting in front of him. He was no woodcarver, but he was nimble with knives. Sure, the big blocky letters were placed somewhat askew, and some of them ran into the uneven border, but it would do much better than paper would. He would get an actual sign, eventually. He just needed to find someone to do it. This would have to do for now.
He stood up straight, and with a smirk of mild accomplishment on his face, he twirled the knife around once and wiped it off with a cloth. He tossed it nonchalantly next to the sink so he would be sure to wash it - as sawdust did not sound like something appealing if added to a meal - and grabbed the sign on his way out the door. He did not bother with his coat or top hat at this moment.
He stood at the top of the ladder he had propped up against the wall of his shop, attempting to get the newer wooden sign to stay at the top. He would wave at people with a pleasant "hello" and a smile as they walked by, but that was only really a way of hiding the embarrassment he felt at the moment, because of what seemed to be his inability to hang this bloody sign. He remembered that Zona was now Clancy's messenger of sorts, his delivery boy, and he hoped that she would not be coming along any time soon. She would find this quite entertaining. He sighed and continued working on the task at hand.
