Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Zona just walked. She didn't know where she was going or what she wanted to do, so she just walked. With the walking came an ache in Zonas leg, she forgot about that until just now, but she didn't want to stop, she just wanted to keep walking. She passed her dump of a house but didn't want to stop, she passed the theater but didn't want to stop, she passed everything and never stopped. Once the pain in her leg was a bit to much for her she finally stopped and went into the nearest bar, she had a little bit of money with her so she sat down and ordered, not a glass, but a bottle of their liquor. So Zona sat there and just drank.

"I'm starting to think I should maybe go see a doctor" Iacomus said with a lighthearted laugh, even though the pain in his punctured leg was maddening, shooting through his hip every time he set his foot on the ground. "I don't seem to have the amazing ability of healing some.. others have..." He proceeded to limp along towards a clinic of sorts. He didn't trust himself to patch up a wound of this scale. He also had no materials to use to stop the blood from gushing out and covering his boots. That was a shame. Those were his favorite pair. As he walked, however, he found himself to be lost in thought, and a serious expression fell heavy on his face. Something in the pit of his stomach felt wrong, some twisting, clenching feeling, but he could not find the name for it. He couldn't believe his... friend.... had been a winged ander... She was wonderfully kind, although tough on the outside. He wondered how such an amazing person could be such a terrible creature. Had he hurt her with his antics earlier this day? No, no of course not... Of course not... How could he have been in the wrong?
"That was actually the first place I was gonna bring ya" Clancy said as he helped his friend along. Iaco seemed to be lost in thought so they traveled the rest of the way in silence. Once Clancy got him into a doctors office- a Mr. Aleck located in the slums area- and transported him back his house he finally got the courage to speak his mind. Clancy helped Iaco sit down in his nice chair. "I'll go heat up some water fer tea, 'kay?" he left to turn the stove on. In the kitchen he took a deep breath then walked slowly back into the other room. He jumped up so that he was sitting on the table across from Iaco. For a few moments he just looked as his feet hanging over the side. Then, after clearing his throat, he looked back up at Iaco with hesitant eyes. "Iaco... what you did back there... back in the forest... I don' think that was right..." he said in a quiet voice, the smile gone.

Iacomus put his elbow on the armrest and rested his face on the back of his hand, raising an eyebrow, not only as a sort of competitive gesture, but also because his chipper friend seemed to have lost his happy attitude for this moment. "Hm, really?" Iacomus said, inviting the pink haired boy to explain more.
Clancy looked at him, chewing his lip a little "Well... Zona was yer friend one second then tha next she was nothin' more than garbage on ta street ta ya. She trusted ya and appreciated ya as a friend, even putting her life on tha line ta save both you and me. But you broke that trust when ya treated her like... like she was a monster or somethin'. Didja not see tha look on her face when ya called her all those names? I know she was tryin' ta hide it but she was fightin' off tears for a moment there..,.I could tell..." he paused, looking sadly at Iaco.

Iacomus simply stared at Clancy with an apathetic expression and an complete and utter lack of feeling in his yellow, tired eyes. He had nothing to say to that. Nothing at all. And although he seemed placid and uncaring outwardly, that feeling in his stomach had returned, and was churning, twisting...
Clancy searched his friends face, knowing he was hiding his true emotions. It was no fair. How were Zona and Iaco both so good at concealing their real feelings when his own wild emotions always brimmed over. The familiar whistle of the tea pot floated in. With a sigh, Clancy hopped off the table and walked towards the kitchen. He paused at the door way though and turned back to look once more at Iaco. "Yer a great guy, Iaco. The best I've ever met. So stop pretending ta be this mean person. Yer only gonna end up hurting yourself more in tha end... And I don' wanna see ya get hurt ever again." With that he turned back and walked into the kitchen to prepare the tea.

With Clancy's last statement, Iacomus chucked briefly, but did so as hisses through his teeth. "'Best you've ever met'? You must not have met very good people, then." Iacomus muttered, and chuckled again in the same manner.

(oooh btw, I forgot to post in the last post, that even though Clancy can't hide his own emotions, he has a really good sense for who is and what the feeling they are hiding is, so he's good there!)
Clancy came in with two cups of tea in his hand. He offered one to Iaco with a slight smile before hopping back up onto his original position on the table. "Hey now, give me credit. I've been ta quite a few places before I decided ta settle down here n Lodan. I've met ma fair share of good and bad people!" he added, his smile widening some.

Iacomus nodded gratefully as he took the cup of tea from his pink-haired friend, but his face turned serious and dark. "I'm a terrible person, Clancy. There's no mistake in this matter." He smirked a small, innocent smirk and took a sip of his tea.
Clancy cocked his head to the side, a thoughtful smile on his face as he took a sip of his drink. "I like ya just fine. Yer perfect ta me" he replied honestly. "We all tend to look at ourselves in a harsher light fer example.." Clancy thought for a moment then replied "... I think i'm a good fer nothin' coward idiot who will die alone" he threw out with a nonchalant shrug. "That and my cooking is secretly terrible and that people are just too nice ta tell me otherwise" he added. "Those thoughts probably aren't as harsh in other people's minds as they are in mine- hopefully" he added with a slight smile.
thanks Clancy's the oldest brother in his family so he's use to keepin' an eye on his siblings and knowing what they're really thinking and feeling. n_n

"I'm sure I could tell you how wrong you are about those things that you think, but as you just said, you already know that people don't actually think those things.... Either way, I don't think you understand, I'm a completely terrible person. It's not just what I think. It's a fact." Iacomus said with the same smirk.
"I think that 'completely terrible' bit could be debated" he mused, setting his tea next to him then lying down on the table and looking up at the ceiling. "Yer not evil or somethin'. I'm pretty sure about that. After all, ya do feel a little bad about how ya treated Zona" he commented, stretching his arms above him.

Iacomus sighed heavily, then stood up and walked into one of the back rooms. There in a box was a number of books and papers. Wedged between a dusty copy of an old classic novel and a dictionary, was a tattered old news paper with yellowing corners. He picked it up and walked back into the front room, then slammed it on the table next to where Clancy was sitting, and pointed to a minor headline on the page it was open to. "Lerwick family found murdered in own home" it read in large black print. "This is a paper from nineteen years ago. You would've been seven at the time. I was 15. Of course I was the prime suspect. I mean, someone killing their parents because they would inherit their money? It tends to be somewhat common. They never did find the killer, of course..." Iacomus said, and his mouth grew into a smirk.
