Caitlin was nodding along to the commanders request that she avenge him when the old man spoke, clearly his hearing not diminished by his age. She was starting to hate the old man. his logic didn't make sense, even to her tired brain. She was the only black blood in a room full of reds, and she may as well take blood from a squirrel as soon as any of them. Why oh why didn't she have any general Ander friends?
While she was pondering that notion Levi spoke, and what blood may have been left in her face, it drained away from it as she was looking at the commander. How could he not know after that? Her eyes flicked to Levi across the room, and for the briefest moment she wanted to cave in on herself, and let him be the daring advocate here to rescue her. He was already trying his best.
"I think I get what he means," she put in hastily before anyone else, "Its a magical transfer, wouldn't magical blood be the best viable option? Since humans and magic , you know?" she summed up weakly. Her eyes were on her hands, pressed against a thin piece of cloth as it soaked up blood from the cut in the commanders forearm. Would the old coot cut open her forearm as well? The gig was up, long before any of them knew it.
"Close your eyes, ok, don't look?" She pleaded with the commander the best she could, before offering her own arm to the witch doctor. "Whichever you chose, just do it quickly," She said and closed her own eyes. She couldn't fight it anymore. She would face the consequences afterwards, what ever they were.
