Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Chasing a Suspicion (companion of Empty House, Empty Heart)
The thief snickered a little when Danielle mentioned Florence. "Bet he was..." she said before grumbling and sighing. "Fine. Fine. I'll come... but if I'm coming, you gotta stop taking my normal clothes..." she said pouting at her. "I sure as hell ain't going out to see him in that casino costume. Don't wanna go turning his head..." trailed off Ikuze as she considered the situation. "Actually... slag it, I'm gonna amuse myself." she said with a smirk before she got up and pulled out from her drawers the outfit she'd worn as part of her casino gig.
"Plus if its whoever the hell papa is that he's gone and found, might just shock the bastard so much he won't realise when I'm punching his lights out." Ikuze grinned maliciously as she finished putting herself together, collecting her guitar. "Lead the way... but not too fast eh? These bloody heels ain't made for running that fast." she said, patting the knee high cloth boots with their five inch heels. She'd left out the hair feather though, opting to stick to her usual pony-tail braid.

"Right', right'... Well... it's this way." Danny left the room and led the way back to Stephen. He was quiet as he went and constantly glanced around the street. "I don' like bein' down 'ere... Safer on the roofs." Danny rounded a couple corners, went this way and that, before eventually he popped up in the alley Stephen was waiting in. "Yo Ikky's comin'. Jus' down' go drool in' all over yerselves." Danny tugged his goggles over his eyes to hide the scrutinizing gaze he gave Stephen.

Stephen leaned casually against the wall, looking at his nails and cleaning the non-existent dirt from them "I thought I might commission you to make me something if you were free." Truth be told he had wanted to do this for a while, ever since he rode that bike with Viktor. Alas, he had been unable to get to it till now.
As he heard a noise he turned to it with a disapproving look. As he suspected, Danny rounded the corner, allowing him to begin his rant "Took you long enough. I thought you did speedy deliveries. How hard can it be to find a girl with blue hair for Queens sake." At the boys curious words he narrowed his eyes suspiciously "Drool all over my self? Why in Gods name would I partake in such vulgar behavior....."

Viktor gave a small chuckle then a small shrug while he inspected his cube for ways to solve it. "Well, I ain't free, I charge," he joked. "And besides, I thought I told you I wasn't going to work on anything for you back when I first met you," he said with furrowed brows as his brows furrowed. "So," he trailed off and lifted his eyes from the cube to look at Stephen. "Why would you still come to me?" When he heard Danny's approaching, he paused and turned then stuffed the cube into his jacket. "Well, looks like your bud's back and I said I'd wait with you until then so, I guess I'll catch you later." Walking away, he turned, still waking backwards away from the group and extended his arms out a bit. "Look, if you wanna maybe... persuade me or something to make you whatever it is you want then come by my shop when you're free."
The thief nodded at Danielle, rolling her shoulders as they walked. She had been practicing with these boots in her spare time so she could at least keep up with the other girl when they were walking. Ikuze cracked her fingers when Danielle disappeared around the corner, no doubt prepping Stephen for the sight that was about to come around the corner. A smirk tugged at her lips as she imagined the reaction she was going to get from the stuck up little noble. That smirk faded when she recalled why exactly she was meeting with him in the first place.
With only slightly exaggerated movement in her hips, Ikuze turned the corner and walked straight towards Stephen, stopping a meter or so away from him, resting one hand on her hip as she looked at him and the other boy. She raised an eyebrow at the strangers presence before looking at Stephen. "So, Danny boy said you wanted to see me about some family dung. If it's the man that paid my mother that's bumped into you, you can tell whoever he is, he can go shove his prick up a Shadow Beasts arsehole for all I care." she said with a snarl. "If it's my mother, what you do is your business. I could care less. I ain't going back."

When the blue haired girl turned the corner his eyes widened in shock. Where in the Queens name did she get such... provocative clothing. Clearing his throat loudly, he made sure he looked her straight in the eye, not letting his eyes wander at all. He was a gentleman; ogling a woman's.. *ahem* would not be appropriate "Aren't your cloths a tad... inappropriate?" he said in a strained voice with a deep frown, which only deepened at her words. With an irritated glare and disapproving noise, he explained the predicament to the angry, intrudingly dressed woman "Lucky for you, the person I am suspecting to be related to you is neither your father or mother. I believe him to be your grandfather. He has instructed that I find out if you truly are one of his heirs. He seemed very excited to find out that he actually had a possible living relative in his family. You should have seen the old man, lost all sense of manners at my off handed comment; One can not blame him though given his circumstance. Do not worry, I have not given him any information on to him as of yet for your privacy sake."

In his retreat, as he had been walking away backwards, he did catch sight of Ikuze. When the blue haired woman gave her appearance, Viktor let out a low, impressed whistle. Stephen might not have seized the chance to take in the sight, but the redhead was certainly not gonna miss out on the opportunity. "...Why didn't you say you were meetin' that kind of friend," he said with a sly smirk as he cast a glance at Stephen. "Heh, have fun with business," he called to the noble then turned and left for good.
"You woke me up from one of the rare few decent sleeps I get around here. Consider it punishment." smirked the thief at the boy's reaction, shooting a death glare at the other one. "You're lucky I can't run over there to kick you in your sack in these heels." she growled before regarding Sourpuss again, an eyebrow raised at his clarification. "Grandfather?" Ikuze asked, her hand leaving her hip now and holding onto the pendant that she permanently kept clasped around her throat. She stood there in silence for a moment, her eyes closed before she opened them again. "Which side? Mother, or father?" asked the thief, her voice warbling ever so slightly.

Stephen shot an annoyed glare at Viktor. So he was leaving him alone with this vixen... the coward. At least he still had Danny with him. No doubt the boy was staring at Ikuze behind his goggles- clever, very clever. Or, he might not, you never knew with that kid. Turning he gave Ikuze an unimpressed look, still trying his hardest to keep his eyes level with hers. "You have a very unusual and twisted view of punishment then." Raising an eyebrow at her sudden switch in emotions, he carried on carefully "I believe he would be from our mother's side of the family."
"I could kick you in the balls if you prefer." said Ikuze, folding her arms under her breasts, 'accidentally' raising them and making them appear more pronounced. A frown crossed her face as she considered Stephen's words. "What makes you think we're related?" she asked, before a shadow came across her eyes. "If you're trying to foist me off on some old man, as some kind of pay off scheme, like what happened with Danny boy here when the Baron was looking for his daughter... You won't be having any kids of your own." she said, slowly walking towards Stephen, her boots ominously clacking against the cobblestone pavement.

At the mention of where she would kick him he grimaced and responded in a tight voice "I would prefer that no harm comes to my person, thanks" As he listened to the rest of her threat, the uncomfortable frown-that appeared on his face when out of his peripheral vision he noticed he chest get slightly more eye catching but he dared not look to confirm the thought- turned to an insulted look of distaste "Queens, what do you take me for you wicked minded girl. I do not sell my frie- acquaintances to random old nobles. If you think that low of me then I see no point in giving you anymore information on this subject. I thought I would try to be helpful and help the Storm family; maybe someone would appreciate my help, but no, all I get is grief every turn from you and that old man. Both of you accusing me of making this all up just for my own personal gain. You are both mistaken; I would gain nothing in either options that you both accused me of" he snapped, extremely annoyed and a little angry. "Why did I even go tromping down to this shady area just to locate you." he threw up his hands with an angry growl. "I do not care anymore, I will just go find Mr. Storm and tell him that I had not luck in locating you or something. The nerve of it all" he muttered irritably, starting to walk away with a furious look on his face.
Personally, I would prefer that someone stop him before he leaves but it tis up to y'all owo thanks!
Ikuze blinked before trying to run over and grab him by the shoulder. "Waiiagh!" she cried out as the attempt at running in the heels made her fall over, and smash her face into the cobblestones below. "Owwww..." she groaned as the thief sat on her knees, patting her nose gingerly, wincing from the pain. She pulled her hand away to reveal some blood. "Great... just sodding... great..." grumbled Ikuze as she began to wipe her nose with her sleeve before trying to see if Stephen was still around. "Look, how'd you expect me to react?" she asked. "Didn't even know I had other family, been down here my whole life, and here you come down, telling me that I've suddenly got myself a grandpa..." said the blue haired girl before pinching her nose and trying out the new Healing 1 spell she got from the merchant. Her eyes squeezed shut in pain as the spell worked on fixing her up before it finished.
She gave it a poke before nodding to herself, then looked back towards Stephen. "Family members suddenly appearing out of thin air... in honesty, it sounds fishy, and stuff sounding fishy around here usually means some kind of trap or trick... It's happened before to other girls, and a couple of boys." said Ikuze as she stood up slowly, silently cursing her decision to come in the heels. "Someone comes along, saying they've find so and so's family, offers to take them back to them, get out of this hole, and what happens? They find themselves shipped off to a brothel, or some far off port in chains." explained the thief before she took a step towards Stephen.
"But... if you're honest about this... Then... then the least I could do is at least see the old man... If you're not still mad at me that is?" she asked, holding out her hand to shake as if bargaining a truce or something.

Stephen paused his angry exit when he heard Ikuze's frantic scramble/fall after him. It was his fault she fell and he felt bad, slightly grimacing in sympathy for her pain. Also, he had to quickly avert his gaze from her again because the position she was in made it all to easy to look down her corset. Deciding the wall next to him was the best place to look at the moment he listened to her. Did people really do such cruel things? It made him furious. People like that were the reason as to why he joined CAEsAL in the first place. It was disgusting how such people existed in this world who were content with ruining peoples lives just for a little pocket change. What was even worse was that he had once knew a noble who had participated in such businesses. May his soul rot in hell forever.
With a tired sigh, he turned to her, trying not to look as enraged as he felt whenever he thought of the people she brought up. "I understand you reasoning but never a line me up with people like that ever again. I could think of no greater insult" he replied in a quite, even voice, staring her straight in the eye. Walking over to her, he pulled out his hanker chief and offered it to her so that she could wipe the excess blood off her face. Her nose seemed to have miraculously healed, probably due to some sort of Ander magic, so he saw no reason to rush her to medical attention. "If you would prefer, I could take you to him now. But, might I suggest that you possibly change? He might get the wrong... impression from what you are wearing and I do not want to be burned alive at the spot. He seems to be just as mistrusting of me as you are, if not more" he added with a disapproving frown. Turning quickly to Danny, he pointed at him "And do not leave me like you always do. If I am killed I at least need someone to brake the bad news to my father." Mr. Storm was an old man and if push came to shove, he could probably defend himself against the man. But rage did things to people; you could be the best fighter in the world but lose to a less experienced fighter's rage.
"Let's just go. If he is my grandfather on my mother's side... then he probably already knows what my mother does for a living. Besides, this works as a good cover. Or did you want to try and explain to the patrols why you're bringing a street urchin into the good part of town?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at Sourpuss. "They see what they want to see. Young rich man with a dollymop, they'll leave in peace. Young rich man with urchin looking girl? They may leave alone... or they may come over and start asking questions." said Ikuze before reaching over with a finger to lightly tap him on the forehead, a playful smirk on her face. "Welcome to thieving." she said before adjusting her outfit a little, making sure everything was in place. "Besides, even if they do come over expecting a dollymop, I can just dissuade them easily by mentioning the word price. Doubt they get paid much EIRAL's. So, we going or what? Danny boy could pass for your dogsbody or whatever the lower rung servants are, if he doesn't take the Thieves Highway that is."

"I think Stevie boy's strange enough tha' guards'll question 'im no matter what. 'sides, what's ta stop ya from followin' me 'cross the roofs while we tail Stevie ta the crows?" Danny looked at Stephen. "It is the crow, innit? I mean, 'e's the only other noble I seen ya talkin' ta an' 'e's a birdy ta boot." Danny shrugged his shoulders. "Ah, what'sit matter. I'll be followin' up high if ya run inta any trouble. Don' ferget ta say 'ullo ta Florence on yer way by." Danny sniggered to himself before rapidly ascending one of the alleyway's walls. He disappeared over the lip of the roof before peeking his head down at them. "Lead on boyo!"
