Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Clancy smiled apologetically, use to threats like this "Ha, sorry, I tend to get into fights very easily." At the small boys words he rolled his eyes but made not comment. "Hey, since I bothered you all, I'd be willin' to pay fer yer meals. I got some money stored up since my last sale so I'd be able to afford it for ya both." Reaching in his pocket he pulled out a few coins and crumpled up bills. It did not really bother him that he was paying for meals that he himself never ate; he did not eat very much anyways. "And do not argue with me about who's gonna pay and it's against yer religion or somthin' to take a free meal. I don't care, I'm payin' anyways." Raising his hand to catch Rosey's attention, he called out to her with a smile "Hey Miss! Might I bother ya for the price of all these fine meals?"

As the comments went back and forth, Tyrell couldn't help but sigh as he finished the last of the meal on his plate, his eyes still moving between the two. Clancy speaking up on paying surprised the winged Andersweltler as well as Danny's own produced coins. "I will pay for my own meal, thank you," he replied to Clancy as he waved Rosey over. The fiery haired woman caught the signal and wandered over with a pleasant smile on her face but a glance over the group, the coins on the table, Clancy's words, and Tyrell's less than pleased face, she could see there would be dispute. Her smile faded into a sincere but small one as her hand rested gently on the back of Danny's chair. "Oh, Darlin', the meal's already been takin' care of. None of you fine men got to go worrying about it tonight but if you come back, then you can pay for the next meal. You hear me?" To Danny in particular, she looked down, and moved to the side so she could see his face. For longer than a normal person would have stared, Rosey studied Danny and then gently removed her hand to rest it on top of Danny's head. "Darlin', it's going to be a cold night and I've got a couple empty rooms. Would you like to stay? I won't charge you nothin', and you don't got to stay if you don' want to but I promise the beds are comfortable." Tyrell had to struggle to catch most of the words the woman in red spoke to Danny but when he understood the content, he had to look down. It was hard to tell exactly why she offered since the dark haired man knew several reasons. It could be because her kindness knew no bounds and she always went to help those who needed it, that Danny was young and Rosey herself could not bear any children, or that because Rosey knew a woman disguising herself when she saw one if rumors were to be believed. "Will you be stayin' too, Darlin'?" This time, Rosey looked up and addressed Clancy. He as an unfamiliar face to her and so the offer seemed to be only a logical thing. "I'm really tired," Tyrell announced quietly as he stood from his seat then looked over the three. "It was good meeting you, Clancy. Danny, please, don't antagonize... Rosey," he lingered on her name because he wasn't sure what to say, that he would pay her back? "Thank you," he decided then moved toward the tavern's doors. Outside, there was no one to be seen and everything was dark but he still walked a ways away from the tavern to where a tree grew. There he sat at the base with his legs crossed, his back to the tree, and his hands limp on his knees. He closed his eyes then not to sleep but to simply meditate and clear his thoughts.

"Lemme pay. Man's got 'is pride, ya know?" Danny looked at Rosey as she spoke. "Nah, I ain' stayin' in town t'night. Gotta get some work done out inna woods. There's this beasty I been following' for near a month an' I'm this close ta finally getting' enough data ta make an entry in my journals." Danny patted his satchel as he spoke. "Thankya though. But I can' go taken' handouts. Puts the other person under an' then ya owe em somethin', an' I don' like bein' in debt ta no one. No offense." Danny tugged his scarf back into place and pulled his goggles down over his eyes. "Well, since T's done I gotta get goin'. See ya around." Danny tipped his hat to Rose and turned his hidden gaze to Clancy. "Don' bother T." With that, the boy left and disappeared in the direction of the woods
Clancy listened to Rosey with a happy smile. She really was a very nice woman. When she asked if he was staying he shook his head "No thank you miss! I have a place to stay not too far from here, it's in tha Merchanics district ya see. Thank ya for the offer anyways!" When Tyrell got up to leave Clancy's smile flickered for a moment but went back to being cheery as ever "Oh, Okay Ty! It was nice meeting you too! I'll see ya around! If ya ever want to talk you can visit me at ma shop in the merchant's area!" With a final grin he waved goodbye to the tall man as he left. As Danny left Clancy chuckled lightly, all malice he felt for the boy gone like mist "Haha alright, i'll try not to. You take care of yer self, Dan the man." He added with a slight smirk as the boy left.
With a quiet sigh he turned back to Rosey "Hey, thanks fer the free meal! I really appreciate it miss. If you ever need repairs or something just send me a message down at the merchanic's district. Me an' my friends will fix something up for ya fer free as a thank you! I guess I should be off now since the party has up and left. But, I have a few quick questions before I leave." Clearing his throat he help up one pointer finger "First off, I would like to by the finest bottle of Sherry ya got in stock- don' worry, i'm paying for this myself." Holding up his second finger, he continued on "Secondly..." he leaned in a bit, a serious look crossing his usually jovial features "Is Tyrell's possible love interests really men?" It had been eating him ever since she had mentioned it and he really, really, REALLY wanted to find out if he had a possible chance with the big guy.

Rosey frowned when Danny declined her offer but understood his words and reasoning. However, when the young lad spoke of sneaking off into the woods, she was more than displeased. "If your serious about headin' in there then you best not go gettin' yourself killed. I want to see you here again, you hear me, child? Now go on and take care," she said as she watched him disappear with a small smile on her face. Clancy's words caught her next and she gave a little laugh. "A bottle? What are you goin' to--oh..." His other question came and her smile disappeared into a thoughtful frown. "Hm," was all she could muster as she took a seat at the table then smoothed out the skirt of her dress. "To be honest, I mostly said that as a joke, but I honestly couldn't tell you. Some girls here have tried to win him over but they said he politely declined them or just sank into a little shell of embarrassment. Why, you want him to yourself," she asked with a animistic grin. "Cause I'll give you that darned bottle of Sherry on the house if you do and win him over. If not, I can see about trying to find you another good looking man." And then her grin suddenly vanished and her mouth hung slightly open as if she was lost in thought. It had not occurred to her that this fellow new in town might not know of the andersweltlers or if he did, that he might not like them. "Uh, listen, dear. If you do pursue him, I just want you to realize he's special more than one way, and that he is a very gentle soul so you take good care of him." With that, she smiled again then stood and went to the counter where she shared some words with the lady operating it. Afterwards, she returned with the bottle Clancy had requested and set it before him. "He usually stays outside in the stables out back. Says he likes sleeping outside among the stars or something." Sadly, for Clancy, Tyrell would not be located there as he remained in his spot under the tree. His meditation eventually led to him dozing off. Of course, he did not fear being mugged in his sleep because there was nothing on him too steal and if someone attempted it, Tyrell was a light sleeper.
Clancy listened to her explanation with rapt attention. A confident grin spread across his lips at her question "Well, yeah. He's tall, dark and handsome! Just my type!" he giggled a little, liking Rosey already "Alright, you got yer self a deal! If he does by chance like guys- which, I'm really hoping he does, then I for sure will win him over! That's a promise!" At her sudden serious look she gave him he paused, listening with a thoughtful look. When she came back with the bottle he asked his question "Special? As in he has a 6th toe or something? Or do you mean that he has trouble reading things, cause if that's the case I'd be more than willing to help him! Or does he have some weird kinda family thing like he thinks his dad is a Billy goat? Well, if it's true love, I know that no matter the case we can work it out together!" he added with a confident smile, extending his hand to take the bottle "Thanks Rosey, you're a real pearl! I would go visit him but I don't wanna scare him off this early in the game. I know my pushiness can be a tad intimidating sometimes. So, i'll let 'im have a good nights rest." At the mention of a good night's rest, he couldn't help the small little perverted grin from popping on his face. Well, he had tried his best to keep a clean mind but it was always a difficult task for him anyways.

Rosey's brows shot up in surprise at all this boy was saying. Oh young love, it always warmed her heart to see it as she remembered her own early twenties. She had to laugh though at all the oddities he mentioned. "No, darlin', nothing like that. All I can say is I hope you aren't afraid of heights. The rest is up to him to tell you if he wants to. And don't thank me, anythin' for friends and family. Now go on, you should get some rest, too, huh? It's getting to the late night peak hours here and soon enough things about to get real hectic and busy." With that she gave him a smile then turned back to meet a woman of her staff at the counter.
At the mention of heights his eyes lit up. Maybe Tyrell liked to live on the dangerous side of life as well too! Tyrell was sounding more and more likable to him by the minute. "Okay! Thanks for everything Miss Rosey! I'll be sure to pop back in here again soon! See ya later!" he called out to her. With that, he tossed the bottle in the air and caught it easily, whistling cheerily to himself as he exited the tavern and headed home.
