"Cider is perfect." Elaine says from where she sits on the floor in front of the fireplace. She'd gotten the logs to a steady crackle and was just tending to it a bit so it could start heating up the small side room. Cas was sitting at her side watching her work only to tilt his head back to see Clairee enter and sniff at the air, quickly concerning himself with the smells of food. Satisfied with the fire's start his owner pushes herself up to her feet and dusts off. She'd piled blankets on the soft armchairs and was happy to take a cider off her hands as they curl up into their respective perches.
Elaine always sits with her feet tucked up underneath her half-sideways in the plush chairs at her home with a pillow in her lap so this is no different. She settles and tucks the blanket in where it won't allow a draft and sighs in comfort. Setting her mug in her lap on that pillow with her fingers curled around it to siphon the heat. "That's much better." She glances down as Cas brings his patchy self over to sit and extend his paws out in front of him in a big stretch to lower to the floor. Laying his head on his paws with a deep sigh himself, he appreciates being dry just as much as they do. But his eyes are still on the ravenette and the hand that holds the delightful smells he was far more interested in than warmth. Call it the street dog in him, food was prized.
The feline, comfortable and bundled completely away from the cold, looks across at her new acquaintance and fills in small talk easily. She'll definitely get around to Lasair but curiosity struck her and she wanted to know a little bit more about her guildmate. "How long have you been in MI, if you don't mind me asking?"
